Job Description:
Key Duties and Responsibilities Log and review existing and new
invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with state
policies and procedures. Audit invoice documentation to identify
and correct errors before submission. Enter invoice data into
TFACTS and Edison for processing and payment. Reconcile
discrepancies by coordinating with program staff, providers, and
fiscal staff. Maintain accurate records and follow established
filing and documentation standards. Assist with other accounting or
administrative tasks as assigned to reduce backlog and improve
workflow efficiency. Required Technical and Job Experience
Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting
support (minimum 1 year preferred). Demonstrated ability to review
financial documents for accuracy and compliance. Data entry
experience with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with enterprise financial systems; prior experience
with Edison or TFACTS preferred but not required. Ability to follow
established procedures, maintain confidentiality, and meet
deadlines in a high-volume environment. Strong written and verbal
communication skills for interaction with staff and providers.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required;
associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field
preferred. Qualifying full-time clerical accounting or auditing
experience may be substituted for the for the required education on
case-by-case basis. Prior state government accounting system
experience a plus but not required. Must successfully pass a
background check prior to placement. Must be able to work onsite in
the Jackson DCS office; remote work is not permitted for this
assignment. The Jackson DCS office is located at 225 Dr Martin
Luther King Jr Dr, Jackson, TN 3830. Work Conditions & Support
Laptops and necessary system access will be provided. Central
Accounting staff will provide training and ongoing guidance to
ensure employees understand procedures and system requirements.
Work will be performed in a professional office setting during
standard business hours.
