Position Details:
--- Title: Chassis Mechanic
--- Location: Memphis, TN
--- Shift: Mon - Fri 8a-430p
--- Compensation: $24-30/hr + $5000 sign-on bonus + Quarterly incentive bonus plan

--- Travel: Local travel to 2 repair sites in Memphis area

Position Description:
The Chassis Mechanic will perform mechanical repairs and inspections at railroad ramps. The employee will perform all types of chassis repairs including brakes and wheel end repairs, welding, cutting with a torch and repairing and replacing parts on the chassis using standard repair tools. Repairs will be performed to FMCSA standards and completed based on written estimates.
--- Troubleshoot and repair all chassis defects
o Including ABS systems; air brake systems, wheels end, safety latches, and structural assemblies
--- Some welding and fabrication of chassis
--- Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs

Requirements:
--- Experience in trailer/chassis mechanics, usage and customary repair methods preferred
--- Candidates with a diesel or auto mechanic background will be strongly considered as well
--- FMCSA and brake certifications required
--- Knowledge in welding MIG and/or ARC welding, torch use is a plus, but not required
--- Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving history and able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening (including CBD).
