Job Description Job Description Job description Aerial Drop Technician I shall possess the ability to hang drop fiber from pole to home. At a minimum, you must have a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with telecommunications lines, bucket trucks, and poles and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems. Responsibilities: Completion of aerial fiber optic drops. Use of tools, equipment, and ladders to complete a project. Additional Duties as assigned. Clean and maintain all supplies and equipment Maintain quality construction practices Preferred Qualifications: Have the ability to work well with others. Have the ability to climb poles. Authorized to work in the United States. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check. the ability to work safely, with or without supervision; the ability to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods; the ability to lift and manipulate lasher and other cable placement equipment; excellent manual dexterity; the ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing; the ability to fully understand and operate equipment, including, but not limited to an aerial lift device, lasher, and hand tools.
