Summary




Responsible for the coordination and utilization of equipment and supplies of high technology, home medical equipment customers, maintaining flow of patient information to all departments, including physician orders, verification of insurance status and coordination of deliveries. REQUIRED:


Associate's Degree in respiratory care or an AMA approved Certified Respiratory Therapist program.

• Three years of experience as a CRTT.
  
• Minimum of one year experience in home medical equipment.

  • Current license from the state of employment as a Certified Respiratory Technician
    
    
    • 
      
    • Current registration as a Certified Respiratory Technician or has grandfathered credential prior to July 1, 2002 from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
      
      
      • 
        
      • Effective June 1, 2018: New Hires and Current Associates are required to have BLS Certification.

          • Interacts with payors for cases requiring advanced clinical knowledge and detailed knowledge of customer needs.
            
          • Demonstrates the initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities for self-improvement and enhancement of professional competency; serves as a resource for other members of the HME department.
            
          • Demonstrates effective customer skills, promotes a positive work environment, and contributes to the overall team effort.
            
          • Performs other job functions as assigned.
