Job Description:
Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatrician to join
our growing Pediatric Hospitalist Team. 400 bed Medical Center
serving 23 counties in North East Arkansas 18 Pediatric Beds 40-50
pediatric patients per month 19 bed NICU, Certified Level IIIA 17
LDR Rooms, 1900 deliveries a year Team support: Daytime nurse
practitioner for newborns, dedicated lactation team and family
medicine residents for pediatric patients. Care Responsibilities
include: Providing inpatient care to hospitalized pediatric
patients and newborns. Provide backup and consultative services to
UAMS NE Family Medicine Residency program with pediatric/newborn
consults as needed. Provide consultative services to local
community hospitals, ERs and clinics. Must be a physician leader in
the areas of safety and quality. Ability to teach and be involved
in academics (Residents and Medical Students) Assist ED Physician
with admitting patients and other emergencies when in-house as
needed Pediatric Hospitalist hours: 12-hour shifts with calls from
home - 216 shifts per year Very competitive base salary with
