Ultrasound Tech Location: Batesville, AR Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $2,560 to $2,720 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $64.00 - $68.00/Hourly. Summary: The Sonographer is responsible for performing high quality diagnostic exams/procedures in the Ultrasound department in an efficient manner according to the physician’s order. The Sonographer works effectively with patients and physicians and maintains cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Responsibilities: Complete studies in a timely and efficient manner utilizing downtime to assist others where needed. Assures exam charges and 5 day late list are checked daily for the ultrasound department. Organizes workload during high volume to expedite patient care and communicates to other technologists all pending exams and any pertinent information. Assists the physician in performing radiology procedures. Promotes positive relationships at the department level and discusses concerns with the supervisor and presents the department in a positive manner to other employees and staff. Maintains supplies with a minimum inventory and develops new methods of supply utilization. Handles equipment in a safe and appropriate manner within guidelines and policies of WRMC and the Ultrasound/Non-Invasive department. Maintains clean work area and follows equipment cleaning policies. Assures exterior surfaces of the machines are wiped down after each workday and between patients as appropriate. Follow the “on-call” policy by responding to call back within acceptable time-frame and arriving in the department within 30 minutes after being called in. Willingly assist with procedures in any area of radiology when needed. Check with co-workers during downtime for need of assistance. Requirements Requirements: 2 years of experience Required. Must have Echo and Vascular Experience Required. Must be able to perform Echocardiograms with Definity Contrast Required. Must be able to perform Echo and Vascular studies (TTE Echocardiograms, TEE, stress echo, venous reflux exams, venous dopplers, carotid doppler, arterial doppler, ABI, pericardiocentesis, Thrombin injections, and vein mapping exams) Required. Able to start own IV Required. MediTech EMR Experience Required. BLS Certification, ARDMS, Locals not accepted. Benefits Benefits: Referral Program - for each referral start.
