Job Description:
Join the dynamic shipping team at BigM, a leader in retail with
a robust network across the United States, specializing in a
diverse product range from electronics to home goods. We are
looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious Class A CDL Team
Driver to help us ensure timely, safe, and efficient delivery of
products to our multiple locations. As part of our team, you will
play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent
customer service by ensuring that our goods are transported on
schedule and in excellent condition. Safely operate a
tractor-trailer/truck to transport goods to various BigM locations
as scheduled. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure
the vehicle is in proper working order and safe to drive. Adhere to
company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations in all
aspects of the job. Maintain accurate logs of driving times, rest
periods, miles covered, and fuel/toll receipts in compliance with
state and federal regulations. Communicate effectively with the
logistics team to report any issues or delays and to receive
routing instructions. Handle documentation related to cargo, such
as bills of lading and delivery forms, ensuring accuracy and
timeliness. Assist with loading and unloading of cargo when
necessary, ensuring that goods are secured properly. Proficiency in
operating a Class A commercial vehicle Excellent time management
and navigation skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pulling,
and managing heavy equipment Knowledge of safety practices and
compliance with transportation laws Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
Doubles/Triples Endorsement is a plus
