Job Description:

Job Summary: Operations & Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring seamless facility operations through maintenance, repair, and commissioning of MEP equipment, with a focus on HVAC systems.

The Operations & Maintenance Technician is part of BOSK's electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant. This is a performance-based, 12-year contract providing hard services of MEP equipment within the facility, excluding manufacturing and production equipment. The objective is to maintain a seamless environment by ensuring equipment performs to specifications, facilitating uninterrupted manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance/hands-on technical experience and leadership background.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems, including detailed troubleshooting.
  • Perform a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, and building maintenance.
  • Work with Electrical/Electronic BAS, and other similar types of related equipment and low-voltage systems.


    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Service, repair, maintain, monitor, and adjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters.
    • Accomplish preventive maintenance management and repairs for HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, electrical systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, and building automation systems.
    • Provide direction and training to less experienced O&M Specialists.
    • Plan, select, and lay out required materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance work.
    • Work from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts, or verbal instructions and operate a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.
    • Requisition new supplies and equipment.
    • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility.
    • Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
    • Perform other duties as required.


      Requirements:

      • Two-year technical degree or two years of relevant experience, or completion of an apprenticeship program.
      • In-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.
      • Knowledge of the following trades/skills: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
      • Working knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations.
      • Working knowledge of Metasys (BMS) and low-voltage control systems.
      • Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
      • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and special maintenance events as needed.
      • Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification.
      • Valid driver's license (may be required).
      • Team player committed to working in a quality environment.
      • Pass a thorough background check and subject interview.
